Our Mission
At Newport Fire Basketball Club, our mission is to remove barriers and open the door to basketball for everyone in our community — regardless of background, ability, or experience. We create a welcoming, pressure-free space where anyone can pick up a ball and play, including demographics like girls who may see basketball as a male-dominated sport. Because when kids fall in love with the game first, everything else follows.

We're not just building better players; we're building better people, ready to lead, adapt, and thrive wherever life takes them. Through dynamic, engaging training sessions, we help players build not only their basketball skills, but the life skills that matter far beyond the court.
Leadership
On the court, players learn to communicate, motivate teammates, and make decisions under pressure; skills that translate directly into school, work, and life.
Handling Failure
Missed shots and lost games become lessons, not setbacks. Players learn resilience, bouncing back stronger and viewing failure as part of growth.
Confidence
Every drill mastered and every shot taken builds self-belief, helping young players walk taller both on the court and in everyday challenges they face.
Work Ethic
Consistent training instils discipline and dedication, teaching players that real progress comes from showing up, putting in effort, and pushing through challenges.
